Step 4
The Adoption Process on a Wildcat Creek Cattery Maine Coon Kitten
How does the adoption process work? Read below...
VIP Deposit List
- Fill out the kitten application form.
- I will send an email once it's approved.
- A non-refundable $500 deposit per kitten is required to secure your spot.
- The deposit does go towards the final price of the kitten, locks in your price, and does not expire.
- When a kitten becomes available, I go in order of deposits sent in, color, and gender preference. If you decide to change color or gender or want to add onto your preference, please let me know before contact day. This date will be up on their page once I have their vet appointment scheduled.
- I will send you a link from my website to sign in. I keep everything updated in one place. I also send out emails as well about any new updates.
- When kittens become available, I will contact you personally. If you decide to pass please let me know asap. If I do not hear from you 2x in a row when offering kittens, your spot goes into dormant until you contact me further. I will add you back to the bottom of the list.
- If for any reason a kitten becomes unfit to go to their new home, you will be first pick of the next litter.
- You will be able to join the Facebook group if you choose to. This group is for families who already have a kitten/ retired cat from me or a deposit in.
- Our kittens are vet-checked around 9 weeks old. They leave us around 12 weeks old.
- The dates when kittens leave will be posted early on, please adjust your schedule accordingly as pick-up days are firm. If for any reason you cannot pick up your kitten on this day, there is a $25 boarding fee per day for up to one week. If you no call, no show, you forfeit the kitten and any money that was sent in. Allowing other families to inquire about said kitten. Unless you are flying into Indianapolis Airport or using a flight nanny, then that day must be scheduled after pick-up day and no boarding fees will be charged.
- I send updated pictures personally every two weeks until they go to their new home. All of our kittens come with a care package to help them transition into their new home.
- As it gets closer to gotcha day, I send out emails of what is in your folder and what to expect when meeting your new kitten.
First Come First Serve
- If I have any kittens available after contacting the VIP deposit list, they will be posted publicly on my website.
- I send out a newsletter to those who signed up to let them know kittens are available. Please sign up for the newsletter if you want to be notified.
- To inquire about an available kitten, a kitten application must be filled out.
- I will contact you further on how to send in your deposit.
- This deposit reserves the kitten to you and it will go towards the final balance.
- I will not hold a kitten without a deposit.
- If for any reason a kitten becomes unfit to go to their new home, you will be first pick of the next litter.
- You will be able to join the Facebook group if you choose to. This group is for families who already have a kitten/ retired cat from me, deposit in, or an approved application.

Social Media
- Anyone is welcome to follow us on social media to see cute videos and pictures of our Maine Coons; Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube.
- Past families interact most on Facebook and Instagram.
- I also have a Facebook group where past families post their kittens. Only those who have a kitten/ cat or deposit in, can join the Facebook group. This is a close-knit group to connect with other families with their Maine Coons. It also helps keep scammers out.
