Maine Coon Adoption Process
Finding the right home for each kitten is extremely important to us at Wildcat Creek Cattery. Our adoption process is designed to help match our kittens with loving, prepared families while making the experience smooth, exciting, and stress-free.
We are a small in-home Euroline Maine Coon cattery located in Kokomo, proudly serving families across Indiana and throughout the United States.
1
Submit a Kitten Application
The first step is completing our kitten application. This helps us learn more about your home, lifestyle, previous pet experience, and what you are looking for in a Maine Coon companion.
Our goal is not just to place kittens quickly — it is to create the best long-term match for both the kitten and the family.
After your application is reviewed, you will receive an email letting you know whether you have been approved.
2
Join the Reservation List
Once approved, families may place a $500 non-refundable deposit to join our reservation list.
Your deposit:
-
Goes toward the final kitten price
-
Secures your place in line
-
Locks in your kitten pricing
-
Never expires
Families are contacted in order of deposits received while also considering gender and color preferences.
Because Maine Coons are in high demand, many families choose to join our reservation list before kittens become available.
3
Kitten Availability & Selection
Our litters are posted on the website as they grow. Families can watch the kittens develop through updated photos, videos, and personality updates.
Kittens are officially offered after their veterinary wellness exam around 9 weeks old.
At that time:
-
Reservation list families are contacted first
-
Available kittens may then be posted publicly
-
A signed contract and deposit officially reserve the kitten
We do not hold kittens without a deposit.
4
